Assessment Development Project to Support the Chicago Math & Science Initiative

Project Leaders:
James Pellegrino
Susan Goldman
Banu Oney

Project Description:
In this project we evaluate assessments currently used by the Chicago Math & Science Initiative (CMSI), including those embedded within CMSI-supported curricula, and state-of-the-art assessment tools developed for K-8 mathematics and science. The goal is to help OMS design a coherent approach to formative and summative mathematics and science assessment that fits within the goals and benchmarks set by CPS, that informs teaching, and that addresses CPS’ accountability needs.
