I am a doctoral candidate in Cognitive Psychology at UIC. My advisor is Dr. Susan Goldman. Generally speaking, I am interested in knowledge representation, especially in mathematics and science. A primary aim of my research is to understand how external representations interact with knowledge to impact mathematical thinking. This work stems from my motivation to identify the cognitive processes and mechanisms that characterize mathematical thought.
