Colleen Kehoe is the Associate Director for Research and Administrative Operations. She was previously Assistant Director of Research Programs for LITD and the Information Technology Specialist.

She received her Ph.D. in Learning Sciences and Technology from the College of Computing at Georgia Tech in 2001. At Georgia Tech, she was a member of the Collaborative Software Laboratory and the Graphics, Visualization, and Usability (GVU) Center.

Her research interests include: the use of dialog in design learning, HCI (human-computer interaction) and design education, evaluating educational software in context, and user interfaces for educational software. Her dissertation, “Supporting Critical Design Dialog,” investigated how to support critical design dialog (CDD) among peers and experts in different learning environments. CDD is a pedagogical technique in which students, educators, and others discuss students’ design projects to help them improve their projects and learn from their activities. Her research provides guidance to educators who want to use CDD in the learning environments they create.
