Internal Transfer Students

How to transfer from another UIC college or program

Internal transfers are not automatic. UIC graduate students must apply to the learning sciences program by completing the following:

  • a statement of purpose
  • GRE scores
  • three letters of recommendation
  • transcripts
  • TOEFL (if applicable)

Our deadline for the fullest consideration for fellowships is December 15. The application deadline for all other Internal Transfer Students is May 15.

You do not need to fill out the university application. All materials should be sent to Graduate Program Coordinator Tim Stoelinga at the address on the bottom of this page.

If you are accepted to our program, you will then need to complete additional, required transfer paperwork. You can obtain copies of these forms from your current program graduate advisor. The student and the graduate advisor can email the Learning Sciences Graduate Program Coordinator, Tim Steolinga, or call him at 312-413-1888.
